“TOLERANCE” – 2020, Woodlake Elementary, Sacramento, CA

“I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Markos on several art projects that he has come in to voluntarily do with my 5/6th graders. He is cheerful, vibrant and eager to support my students. We were lucky to have been a part of a grant through ARTners & Friends that allowed Markos to come into class and teach my students several art projects. A couple years ago when I first met him, he came in and helped us finish up a huge Anne Frank mural. This year when the world shut down during Covid, he still fulfilled his promise to help us create a TOLERANCE mural theme ball wall. He socially distanced with a student or two of mine to complete this mural in June. No matter whether it is a small or large project, we count on his artistic abilities and his friendly personality to help us. Once the world opens back up, I can’t wait to see the new murals he created in downtown Sacramento. I will be taking my students on the WKI Sacramento Gallery Mural tour for sure.

“WKI Mural Tour” – 2017, Sacramento, CA

“I really enjoyed this tour! It was great to hear the history, development, and conceptual history of each mural. It’s one thing to cruise around and look at these murals but they mean so much more to me now that I know the background. Markos & Teresa are wonderful hosts. Good times!

“My Arthritis Class, M/W/F has had the privilege of watching the growth of the project. We have enjoyed and admired the underwater world emerging. We loved to talk to about all the changes we saw each time from the pool water. You and Teresa have created a wonderful water world on once was a drab patio.”

“UnderWater Y” – 2013, Sacramento Central YMCA, Sacramento, CA

“My 5 year old and I had the privilege of watching Markos and Teresa create this amazing “UnderWater Y” mural. Markos always welcomed our questions, telling us stories about the process and making it more than art. I was amazed watching a blank wall transform into an underwater seascape. I kept thinking it was almost done and whole new level of life was brought to it.”

“The RIO MUSIC Project” – 2012, Rio Americano High School, Sacramento, CA

“Markos Egure of Wes Kos Images created the “Passion, Creativity, Swing” mural on the front of our music building at Rio Americano High School. He transformed what was for decades a drab, brown cinderblock exterior into a magnificent showpiece, providing our school and music program with a major source of pride, and showing the community that music matters at Rio Americano. Markos was wonderful to work with, and he greatly exceeded our expectations. Our vision became his passion, and we couldn’t be happier with the result, which will be with us for decades to come.”
